As a Software Engineer, you will contribute to building next-generation conversational experiences for Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat. You’ll work on features and engineering systems that enable rapid iteration, continuous deployment, and resilient live-site operations. You’ll learn to automate workflows, improve release processes, and leverage AI-driven solutions to optimize performance and elevate user experience. Role and Responsibility :

• Work with appropriate stakeholders to determine user requirements for a feature. Supports identification of dependencies, and the development of design documents for a product feature with oversight.
• Assists and learn about breaking down work items into tasks and provides estimation.
• Build frameworks and tooling to enable rapid experimentation and data-driven analysis in production.
• Automate development workflows, release pipelines, and live-site operations to ensure efficiency and consistency. Integrate AI-driven solutions to optimize developer workflows and enhance user experience.
• With guidance, learn to create and implement code for a product, service, or feature reusing code as applicable. Assist and learn about breaking down work items into tasks and provides estimation.
• Serve as Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) to monitor systems and features for degradation, downtime, or interruptions, and executes approved steps to restore service.
• Review current developments and proactively seek new knowledge that will improve the availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance of products while also driving consistency in monitoring and operations at scale. 

Education and Skills :

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline with proven experience coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
• Other Requirements:
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
• Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
• Preferred Qualifications:
• Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field with proven experience coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
