About Intelligence Bureau (IB):
The Intelligence Bureau (IB) is India’s domestic intelligence agency under the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA). Established in 1887, it is one of the oldest intelligence agencies in the world. The IB is responsible for internal intelligence, counter-intelligence, and national security within India. It plays a crucial role in safeguarding the nation’s security by gathering, analyzing, and disseminating intelligence to prevent threats to national security.
Job Description:
Assistant Central Intelligence Officers (ACIO) Grade-II/Executive are responsible for intelligence gathering, analysis, and operations under the Intelligence Bureau. The role involves working on sensitive national security matters, conducting investigations, analyzing intelligence data, and supporting senior officers in various intelligence operations. Officers may be posted anywhere in India based on organizational requirements.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university
- Age Limit: 18-27 years (as on 10 August 2025)
- Nationality: Indian citizens only
- Computer Knowledge: Basic computer knowledge desirable
Age Relaxation:
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years (up to 30 years)
- SC/ST: 5 years (up to 32 years)
- Meritorious Sportspersons: 5 years
- Departmental Candidates (Central Govt., 3+ years service): Up to 40 years
- Widows/Divorced Women (Not Remarried): General (35 years), OBC (38 years), SC/ST (40 years)
Application Fee:
- General/EWS/OBC (Male): ₹650 (₹100 exam fee + ₹550 processing fee)
- SC/ST/Female/Ex-Servicemen: ₹550 (processing fee only)
- Ex-Servicemen in Central Govt. Group C posts: ₹650
Selection Process:
- Tier I: Objective test (100 marks, 1 hour, negative marking: 0.25 per wrong answer)
- Tier II: Descriptive test (50 marks, 1 hour, no negative marking)
- Interview: 100 marks, assessing personality and aptitude
- Document Verification and Medical Examination for final selection
